30 May GuruScan update – May 2023
In this post, you will find some of the latest updates from the GuruScan team.
International Expert Mapping session
End of March, Bart did a session on International Expert Mapping using our tool for the Systems Integration Knowledge Management Leaders group. During this session, he presented how a high-tech company with water management problems (causing downtime) used our knowledge booster to find core and local experts.
If you want to learn more, here you can watch the recording and check the slides.
Open Knowledge Booster sessions
We have scheduled the next three Open Knowledge Booster sessions that you can now sign-up for:
- Thursday 15th of June 12-13h CET
- Wednesday 5th of July 16-17h CET
- Thursday 7th of September 16-17h CET
This session will give you a hands-on experience in using the GuruScan knowledge network technology and will be an interactive workshop. Keep an eye on our website for other dates.
“I enjoyed the demo. GuruScan is an excellent way to have professional groups (practices or teams) co-generate a view of knowledge networks!”
Dawn Brushammar (Implement Group)
The quiet place where knowledge goes to die?
Is this the best characterization of your KM department? 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴:
Knowledge is created in your organization all the time. People will find new ways of solving old problems, or they will solve new problems with (combinations of) old knowledge. Every once in a while someone develops something truly new, either to the organization or even to the world.

Use case – skill profiles & upskilling
Are you looking for 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀?
And if there is not a 100% fit, how do you assess the upskilling need?
We combined the KWIV skill profiles (by Rijksorganisatie voor Ontwikkeling, Digitalisering en Innovatie) and created a very fast funneled approach to assess anyone’s fit for the job.
KWIV has 360 different jobs, of which Full Stack Developer is just one example. These are mapped to 61 KWIV profiles and these connect them to the necessary skills and competencies.
A job-specific assessment 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝟮 𝘁𝗼 𝟯 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀.
A 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (on all competencies) takes less than 𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀!
The assessment gives you the needed upskilling for the individual applicant or employee.
Highlighted feature – Upload your own skills
Did you know that you can upload your own skills and competency frameworks into our tool? By doing so you can make a knowledge scan of your organization with only the relevant skills and competencies for your company really quickly!
If you have any questions or would like to know more about how we work, we are always happy to have a (virtual) coffee, schedule a 30minute meeting here. See you next time! |
